WHY DO I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY?
Since I was young, I was always interested in taking pictures and creating videos. I knew I liked photography, but doesn't everyone? I thought it was normal to have an artistic eye to take photographs. I thought it was something everyone did. Fast forward to fifth grade, I started getting into it more. I played around with the focus on my iPad's camera, and later on in sixth grade when I had a phone, one day everything just clicked for me. I was at a playground near my house, and I was experimenting with the camera on my phone. I thought how neat how I could put a chain of a swing in such sharp focus and the background could be blurred out. I started taking photos of surrounding objects and the environment around me, intrigued by how the background could be out of focus so beautifully. As I continued to play around with my phone camera and eventually the DSLR camera my family and I have, I realized how much tranquility photography brought to my life. I felt like I could escape into a brand new world, one that no one knows about except for me - a world through a viewfinder, though a lens. I've always photographed anything and everything, whether it would be food, animals, flowers, grass, crayons, or even books. I have found an endless amount of joy spending hours capturing gorgeous details and numerous angles of a variety of subjects. Over time, I've found new ways to love photography. Each time I work on my craft, I fall in love harder and deeper with the art. It has never failed to challenge me in so many ways, and I am so grateful I get to photograph the smallest of details to the widest landscapes of the beauty in this world.
